National Institute of Lobbying & Ethics Forms Next Gen Executives

Washington, DC August 25th: The National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE) has formed a subcommittee focused on advancing educational and networking opportunities for the next generation of leaders within the lobbying and government relations profession. The committee’s mission is to promote ethical lobbying practices among the next generation of leaders in our industry by embodying NILE’s code of ethics in our everyday interactions with fellow lobbyists, lawmakers, regulators, government staff, and the public.

”I’m delighted to kick off this exciting new initiative with the leadership and support of the Next Gen Executives,” said Adnan Jalil, Principal of Alpha Strategies, LLC. “Washington and our profession, in particular, thrives on developing and building relationships with policymakers and their staff and this initiative will serve as a great resource to develop the skills needed for future government relations professionals.”

Next Gen Executives will be Chaired by Brian Hess, Senior Director of Public

Policy and Government Relations for Emmer Consulting and the Executive Director of Sports

Fans Coalition. Also leading the network are Brianne Doura-Schawohl, Doura-Schawohl Consulting; Nikki Soda, National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers; Bill McCabe, Director of Legislative Affairs and Communications at The Enlisted Association; and Tony Keryakos.

“I’m excited to start the Next Gen Executives Committee with Brianne, Nikki, Bill, and Tony,”

said Brian Hess. "NILE has long presented our profession in a positive light, and I look forward to continuing that work with our profession’s next generation of leaders.”

“I am honored to have joined the leadership of the Next Gen Executives,” said

consideration in helping promote the network’s mission regarding ethical lobbying practices. Having accrued a decade of experience in advocacy, public policy, government affairs, and communications. I hope to share my experiences and connect with the next generation to promote ethical lobbying and create opportunities to network for the future leaders in our industry."

I look forward to helping connect, encourage, and engage our newest members.”
