The National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE) is deeply saddened by the passing last week of BGR Group vice president, Joe Ellis.

Joe was widely respected throughout the government affairs profession for his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to public service. Over the course of a distinguished career spanning government, corporate leadership, and advocacy, he earned a reputation as a trusted advisor, a skilled strategist, and a generous colleague who invested in the success of others.

Whether serving at the highest levels of government, leading complex international engagements, or advising clients and colleagues, Joe exemplified the qualities that define the best of the lobbying and public affairs profession: integrity, humility, diligence, and service.

"Joe Ellis represented the very best of our profession," said NILE President Larry Gonzalez. "He demonstrated that effective advocacy is rooted not only in expertise and experience, but also in character. His contributions to public service and the government affairs community will have a lasting impact."

On behalf of NILE's members and Board of Directors, we extend our deepest condolences to Joe's family, friends, colleagues at BGR Group, and all who had the opportunity to know and work alongside him.

I enjoy using platforms that focus on user experience instead of unnecessary complexity. The navigation is intuitive, the pages respond quickly, and the overall layout feels clean and professional.
